PRIVACY POLICY

Rich Auntie Capital's Startup School ("Startup School," "we," "us") is co-produced by Rich Auntie Capital and the University of Denver Daniels College of Business. This policy explains what information we collect through www.startupschoolconference.com and our event operations, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly When you register for a ticket, join our waitlist, sign up for updates, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, and any other details you provide on the relevant form.

Payment information Ticket purchases are processed through our ticketing partners (Lu.ma, Eventbrite, and Stripe for VIP purchases). We do not store your full payment card details. Those details are handled directly by our payment processors under their own privacy and security policies.

Information collected automatically When you visit our website, we may collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, using cookies and similar tools. This helps us understand site performance and improve the experience.

Information from event participation If you attend the event, we may collect information related to your attendance, such as session selections, and, where applicable, photos or video taken during the event for marketing purposes (see below).

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process ticket purchases and manage your registration
• Send confirmations, event logistics, and updates about Startup School
• Send marketing communications about this and future Rich Auntie Capital events, if you have opted in
• Improve our website and event programming
• Meet legal, accounting, and financial reporting requirements

Email marketing

We use Klaviyo to manage our email list and send updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us directly. Transactional emails related to a ticket you purchased (such as confirmations or logistics) may continue even after you unsubscribe from marketing.

Sharing your information

We share information with:

• Ticketing and payment partners (Lu.ma, Eventbrite, Stripe) to process your purchase
• Klaviyo to manage email communications
• University of Denver Daniels College of Business, our co-producing partner, for event logistics and coordination
• Event vendors (such as our design and rental partners) only as needed to deliver the event, and only with the minimum information required

We do not sell your personal information.

Photography and video

Startup School may be photographed and filmed for marketing and archival purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of your likeness in event photos or video used on our website, social channels, and future marketing materials, unless you notify us in writing in advance.

Data retention

We retain registration and attendee information for as long as needed to support future event marketing and reporting, and in line with the retention practices of our ticketing and email platforms. You can request deletion of your information at any time (see "Your choices" below).

Your choices

You can:

• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• Request a copy of the information we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your information
• Opt out of photography by notifying us in advance of the event

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, and we rely on the security practices of our ticketing, payment, and email platform partners for the data they process on our behalf. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Startup School is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version.
